Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- But, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the group access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
